How We Celebrate Gudi Padwa in Maharashtra

There are various reasons why we celebrate Gudi Padwa. One of the reasons for the celebrations is the belief that it changed into on this day that Brahma created the universe. It is also believed that Satyug, or the knowledge of realism, began and consequently the celebrations of the New Year. The Gudi is not anything but a wooden staff, which is tied outdoor a window or a balcony. A stem of mango leaves, a piece of saffron or yellow cloth, a garland of flora and an reversed metallic pot are tied to the top of the staff. The gudi serves as a victory flag of styles.
