MosQUITo (Switch To Herbal)

Since last many decades people are using chemical mosquito repellent which contains chemical insecticides such as Transfluthrin , Allethrin, Pyrethrin, DEET etc. in the form like  liquid vaporizer, Roll on, body creams, coils etc.
#SwitchToHerbal
Even though these repellents are effective, it’s short term as well as long term effects on human body is dangerous. Some short terms effects are like dizziness, red & watering eyes, runny nose, nausea, headache etc. Long term effects are very awful and deterrent to living normal healthy life. Asthma, Respiratory tract diseases, even may trigger Lungs cancer are some of those long term effects.

As these chemicals are used in repellent since last almost 2 decades, many kind of mosquitoes have developed resistance to these chemicals and are becomes less and less effective for repelling mosquitos.

In Ayurveda we have various options for these chemical repellents with Herbal (Natural) one.

Some manufactures are using combination of various oils like Citronella, Citriodora (lemon Eucalyptus), Cedarwood , Lemongrass, Neem etc. but even though these natural ingredients have mosquito repellency ,they are not suitable for vaporizer application. These are having short term effect and can be used in mosquito repellents like body cream, coils, sticks etc. The basic raw material used for Mosquito repellent coils and sticks are wood powder, coal dust, chemical binders are again defeating purpose of safe to human and claim of herbal product.

Our repellent is based on extract of oil from the family of plants known as Asteraceae family. These are a kind of weed naturally grown near paddy field. There are various family members like,   Ageratum Conyzoides, Cythocline Purpurea, Blumea etc. again Blumea is having sub family like Lacera, Oxyodonta, Laciniata and so on.
Mother Nature has given strongest mosquito repellent ingredients in this family of plants. The alpha caryophyllene and tarpne derivatives are some of those.

After years of research, we have chosen plant of Ageratum Conyzoides for extracting its oil for repellent purpose. The process of extracting oil is very tedious and needs very high skill.
To collect plants from various parts of Maharashtra, we have formed villager’s groups. After educating them on these particular spices for selection and its plucking stage, they skilfully collect this weed and delivered to our collection centres. From here it is taken for extraction oil.

Going through various stages, finally we collect extracted oil and evaluate same for required contents.  We use this oil in our mosquito repellent.

Our repellent is very effective and good for health. This is perfect combination of nature and health.

We have obtained certificate from CSIR – IIIM, J & K, ministry of science and technology, Government of India, for Chemicals-Pesticides free product.

The Patent has already been filled for this “first of its kind” product with the office of “The Controller General of Patents”.

Here are ten of our favorite places to eat in Mumbai - from fine dining to street food and from budget-friendly options to upscale splurges - all of which are sure to leave you satisfied and hungry for more! 1) The Parathas at Delhi Darbar The roadside food shack at Mandlik Marg serves up a mean paratha. Choose from a variety of vegetable, meat, egg and cheese fillings and watch it get cooked to order on a griddle before stuffing your face with them. The fact that Delhi Darbar is a local eatery means you won’t be paying three times as much for mediocre parathas. They’re also open 24/7 so if you have a late night craving, head here! 2) Farmaish at Rang Mahal Rang Mahal, located at Trident Hotel in BKC, is one of Mumbai’s must-visit restaurants.
